Once I go to a chiropractor, will I always have to go?

No, you do not have to always go once you’ve started. Many patients prefer to continue treatment for the preventive health benefits, but it’s not required.

Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt?

Chiropractic adjustments are gentle and usually do not hurt. Sometimes brief discomfort may be felt.

Can chiropractic cure everything?

No, chiropractic treatment doesn’t cure anything. It stimulates the body’s healing capacity, so many conditions can be improved with chiropractic treatment.

Why would I have my newborn or young child adjusted?

The birth process can be traumatic, and young children fall repeatedly, both of which can cause spinal misalignments. Gentle chiropractic care can remove subluxations, so infants and children can develop optimally.

Can chiropractic help with colic and how?

Chiropractic can help with colic if there is pressure on any of the nerves involved, by releasing that pressure.

Does insurance cover chiropractic visits?

Most insurance companies cover chiropractic visits.

How much does a visit cost?

If insurance covers, there is a co-pay, which can range from $5 – $45. Without insurance, the cost is $45 after the initial visit.

Do I need a referral from my physician?

No.

Do you work with medical doctors?

Yes, we refer to many medical doctors.

Will I get adjusted on my first visit?

Depending on the findings on your medical history and examination, you can be adjusted on your first visit.

Will you suggest exercises or other things I can do?

Yes, we will suggest exercise, stretching, and nutritional and lifestyle recommendations.

Can someone who has had back surgery see a chiropractor?

Yes. We treat the area of the surgery to prevent the adjacent areas from deteriorating.
